Board Approves Administrator Assignments

Lancaster ISD Board of Trustees voted July 1, to approve the employment Mrs. Mariann Middleton as the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction. Mrs. Middleton has 20 years experience in education. She has served as a classroom teacher, school counselor, school administrator and most currently as the Executive Director of Instructional Services for the Marshall Independent School District. Mrs. Middleton states that, “I’m excited to be joining the team of the Lancaster Independent School District and look forward to offering my assistance to the continuation of the success of the students of LISD.”

Mr. Lamont Smith was approved as the new principal of West Main Elementary School. He will be replacing retiring principal, Mrs. Priscilla Maxfield. Mr. Smith comes to Lancaster ISD from Collins Middle School in Corsicana, Texas. He formerly served in Lancaster ISD as a sixth grade World History teacher at Lancaster Intermediate School.

Ms. Shemeka Millner was named the principal for Lancaster Elementary School. Ms. Millner has served two years as the assistant principal of Lancaster Middle School 6th Grade Wing. She formerly served as the assistant principal of Lancaster Elementary School.
