The LISD offers special education services to children with learning disabilities, physical or speech handicaps and emotional problems through resource and supportive services. Children ages 3-21 who qualify are eligible for these services.
Support services include psychologists, educational diagnosticians, counselors, physical therapists, Homebound program and vocational adjustment program.
Section 504
Lancaster ISD complies with the guidelines set forth in the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Section 504. The purpose of Section 504 is not to guarantee equal results, but rather to ensure equal opportunity to achieve suitable educational outcomes.
