Principal’s Message
Welcome to Lancaster High School's Web site! These Web pages are part of an ongoing project which is continually being updated and expanded. I hope that this Web site gives you many insights into the climate and culture at Lancaster High School.

Lancaster students adhere to a climate of high expectations; the student culture is an academic one. The staff and students at Lancaster High School share a commitment to excellence and take great pride in our many achievements. We encourage student participation in the variety of academic and extra-curricular opportunities available at Lancaster.

This year we will be embarking on a rigorous course for redefining our high school diploma system. Our students have the opportunity to experience an education which equips them for global citizenship. The International Baccalaureate in years 11 and 12 and the I.B. Middle Years Programme will shape the attitude of the school. Our focus is to reestablish the balance between man and nature. Beyond intellectual rigor and high academic standards, we will emphasize the ideals of international understanding and responsible citizenship; our IB students will think critically and compassionately and will become lifelong learners and informed participants in local and world affairs, conscious of the shared humanity that binds all people together. They will respect the variety of cultures and attitudes that produces the rich tapestry of life.

I am excited about this new school year and believe that it holds great promise for our entire school community. At year's end, I hope that we will all enjoy the rewards that will come as a result of our collective efforts to make Lancaster a school of academic excellence.
